Official Cart Update Instructions 3.6.0
Last Updated: 28 May 2008

The following package will update any cart above version 3.5.1 to the latest version 3.6.0

If the version number of your cart is below 3.5.1, you will need to contact customer service for a different upgrade script. Doing so will disable your cart and cause it not to function properly. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RUN THE UPDATER ON ANY VERSION BELOW 3.5.1.

Since the update script cannot take into consideration all server environments and customizations, we STRONLGLY suggest that you don't update a live cart. Create a duplicate of your cart somewhere on your sever and update the cart copy first to make sure the update doesn't have any adverse effects. Be sure to test your updated cart thoroughly before moving the new version live.

IMPORTANT - This update script does not take into consideration any customizations to the functionality of the cart. If you have made customization, you may not want to update your cart using this script.

Note - It is good practice to back up your data before installing any new version of software. Although we have done our best to ensure a high level of quality, you should protect your data by making a backup. We generally recommend that you upgrade from your backup database.

1. Make a backup of the complete site including the database. (VERY IMPORTANT)
2. Upload all new files and folders to where you have the cart installed except the `content' and `ioncube' folder.
3. Open content folder. Upload all folders to the server except `skins' and `engine'
4. Upload /content/skins/orignal
5. Open skins/flat folder upload all folder and html files except

- flat/schemes (folder)
- flat/site_home.html
- flat/site_top.html
- flat/site_top_default.html
- flat/site_bottom.html

6. Open `engine' folder upload all files except engine_config.php

7. Direct your browser to the update script. This script is found at /install/update/index.php. In most environments this will be at

8. Follow the instructions in the update script to complete the update.

Once the update is complete you are going to want to run a couple of test transactions to make sure everything is working well. Be sure to pay close attention to both the shipping methods and payment gateways.
