Recurring Billing - How are invoices generated?

There are two options how the invoices will be generated.

1. To use the cart´s default option that will auto generate the invoices every 30 days and an email, with a checkout link,  will be sent to the user to pay the pending invoice.

2. Allow the payment gateway to handle the recurring payments. Currently we have integrated payflow and authorizenet to handle all future invoices. The user will be charged when the invoice is due.
