How do I migrate my existing installation to a new domain?

To successfully migrate your existing installation to a new domain follow the steps below:
 
1. get a copy of all the files to your pc.
2. get a copy of the database
3. create a new database
4. import the database to the new database
5. upload the files to the new domain
6. login to the cart and change the global cart settings
a) global http
b) global https
c) global server path
7. Done
